Despite the goalless draw against Peru, the Argentina manager, Jorge Sampaoli remains certain that his club will qualify for the world cup.
Despite the relentless effort of Messi in the game, Argentina could not penetrate Peru, making the game to end in a draw, leaving Argentina six on the table, outside of CONMEBOL qualification spot.
But Sampaoli still remain very much positive of qualifying, as they play Ecuador next and Colombia face Peru, who are fourth and fifth respectively.

“I am still confident that we will be at the World Cup,”
“Today was a very good game. We just missed a goal. I am very hopeful and excited about what is coming.
“The team never gave up, put in a huge effort and deserved another result.”
He made this statement during a press conference.
